This painting represents this mish-mash of memories, which combine to give us a sense of home. Jessica Geron is a Sydney-based painter who has been exhibiting her work in Sydney and Melbourne for over ten years. In her work she often references popular culture – drawing on source material from magazines, film, street press, junk mail and an ongoing obsession with vintage magazine and comic book covers. She samples imagery from different sources to create new narratives. Jess completed her Master of Fine Arts, Painting at the College of Fine Arts, UNSW in 2006.
